Intermetro Fiber LLC d/b/a South Reach Networks has been acquired by a fund managed by Blue Owl Capital (OWL). This acquisition, completed under Blue Owl Capital’s Digital Infrastructure strategy, will expand the company’s fiber capabilities and strengthen its service to hyperscale and enterprise customers.
Scott Bergs, current CEO of Dark Fiber and Infrastructure (DF&I), another Blue Owl portfolio company, will take on the role of CEO at South Reach Networks in addition to his duties at DF&I.
According to Mr. Bergs, South Reach Networks has established itself as Florida’s premier communications infrastructure provider, delivering essential dark fiber, colocation, and related services to subsea cable providers, data centers, carriers, and private network operators.
