Optical Cable Corporation (OCC) and Lightera, LLC have announced a strategic collaboration agreement. The partnership aims to expand product offerings and solutions, focusing on the data center and enterprise sectors.
Both companies expect to benefit from opportunities to provide enhanced fiber optic and copper cabling and connectivity solutions to the enterprise market. Growth is also anticipated in the data center sector.
As part of this collaboration, Lightera has invested in The Options Clearing Corporation by purchasing shares of OCC common stock. Lightera now holds 7.24% of OCC’s outstanding shares.
Foad Shaikhzadeh, Chairman and CEO of Lightera, highlighted the importance of this joint effort and its potential to expand Lightera’s presence in the data center and enterprise Passive Optical LAN sectors.
