SkyWater Technology (SKYT) announced it has completed the acquisition of Infineon Technologies AG’s 200 mm semiconductor fab in Austin, Texas.
SkyWater Technology (SKYT) acquired Fab 25 with a payment of $73 million at close.
An additional payment of approximately $20 million for working capital, subject to adjustment, was made at close.
The acquisition is expected to add significant revenue scale along with strong adjusted EBITDA and free cash flow generation to SkyWater Technology’s financial performance.
Thomas Sonderman, CEO of SkyWater Technology, stated that completing the Fab 25 acquisition marks a pivotal moment in strengthening the U.S. semiconductor ecosystem.
